Job Summary
Assess patient needs, develop recovery plans, and deliver occupational therapy to help patients regain independence and productivity. Design individualized programs that restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities across skilled nursing centers, assisted living facilities, outpatient clinics, and home-based care. Collaborate with peers to make referrals and train patients and caregivers on essential skills. This role supports older adults staying active and thriving while providing essential therapy for children at home and in school.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
- initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- a valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice
