Job Summary
Assess patient needs, develop recovery plans, and deliver occupational therapy to help older adults regain independence and thrive. Design individualized programs that restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities while training patients and caregivers on necessary skills. Collaborate with peers to make referrals and address the whole patient as an individual. Work in facility settings under the Director of Rehab, offering personalized care across skilled nursing, assisted living, outpatient clinics, and home-based environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
- initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice
