Job Summary
Assess patient needs, develop recovery plans, and deliver occupational therapy to restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities and independence. Design individualized programs that promote patient independence and productivity while training caregivers on necessary skills. Collaborate with peers and make referrals to ensure patients receive comprehensive care, addressing the whole individual while adapting to diverse patient needs and settings. This role reports to the Director of Rehab within a facility-based environment at Powerback Rehab, a certified Great Place to Work partner with Genesis Healthcare, where 86% of staff feel their work makes a difference.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
- initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice
