Job Summary
Assess patient needs, develop recovery plans, and deliver occupational therapy to help older adults restore independence and thrive. Design individualized programs that reinforce physical abilities, train patients and caregivers on skills for productivity, and collaborate with peers or make referrals to ensure comprehensive care. Work in facility settings while adapting to diverse patient needs across skilled nursing centers, assisted living, outpatient clinics, and home-based care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
- initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice
