Job Summary
Assess patient needs, develop recovery plans, and deliver occupational therapy to help older adults stay active and thrive. Design programs that restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities and independence while training patients and caregivers on skills to promote productivity. Collaborate with peers, make referrals to ensure comprehensive care, and adapt to diverse patient needs across skilled nursing centers, assisted living facilities, outpatient clinics, and home-based settings. Work in a facility environment under the Director of Rehab, supported by a clinical mentorship program and free continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
- initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice
