Job Summary
Assess patient needs, develop recovery plans, and deliver occupational therapy to help older adults regain independence and thrive. Design programs that restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities while training patients and caregivers on skills for productivity. Collaborate with peers to make referrals and adapt care to individual patient requirements across skilled nursing, assisted living, outpatient, and home settings. Report to the Director of Rehab in facility-based care environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
- initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice
