Job Summary
Provide home-based occupational therapy services to patients to develop, recover, and maintain daily living and work skills. Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions, assess home environments for hazards and safety adaptations, instruct family members and caregivers, and design or adapt equipment (e.g., wheelchairs, orthotics) to support independence. Conduct progress evaluations and prepare reports detailing client progress; perform related duties as assigned within the assignment setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy (OT)
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as an OT in NY
- Experience providing home-based OT services preferred
- Ability to assess home environments for hazards and safety adaptations
- Experience documenting patient progress and preparing reports
- Ability to design or adapt equipment for home use
- Strong communication with patients, families, and caregivers
- Capacity to work one-on-one with patients
- Flexibility to travel to patient homes in Bronx/NY area
