Job Summary
Evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living, upper extremity function, fine motor skills, cognitive performance, and overall independence. Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, adaptive equipment, and strategies for improved independence. Maintain accurate and timely documentation; collaborate with chiropractors, physical therapists, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care; participate in team meetings, continuing education, and occasional community outreach.
Required Qualifications
- Current and active Occupational Therapist license in the State of New Jersey
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based occupational therapy practices and rehabilitation techniques
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team
