Job Summary
Perform initial examinations and evaluations to establish impairment, diagnosis, prognosis, and care plans for acute care, outpatient, and inpatient rehabilitation patients. Provide or direct therapy interventions consistent with care plans, involving patients and team members in planning, implementation, and assessment while reexamining progress to modify or discontinue services as needed. Coordinate discharge planning with appropriate disciplines and document all patient management activities, including interventions and status changes, with the care team. Supervise rehab aides, office assistants, and volunteers, manage caseloads to accommodate census fluctuations, and attend team meetings to communicate patient status.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Active Maryland OT License
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- COVID-19 Vaccination
- No nicotine use
- No marijuana use
