Job Summary
Conduct occupational therapy services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, and discharge planning for patients. Document results, explain findings to families, and incorporate patient input into goal setting. Implement treatment protocols based on evolving health conditions and consult with healthcare professionals as needed. Manage an accurate schedule, meet productivity expectations, and participate in multi-disciplinary quality improvement teams. Represent the department in community outreach and marketing activities while pursuing continuing education and mentoring new staff. Requires Maryland, DC, and/or Virginia OT licensure and CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
- Master's degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
- Doctoral degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
- OT - Occupational Therapist licensure in Maryland District of Columbia (DC) and/or Virginia
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days
- Professional competency as a general practitioner in occupational therapy
