Job Summary
Conduct occupational therapy services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, and discharge planning for patients. Perform specific assessments, document results, and explain findings to patients and families while incorporating them into goal setting. Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation findings and consult with healthcare professionals as needed. Manage accurate schedules, meet productivity expectations, and complete timely documentation of patient care activities. Participate in multi-disciplinary quality improvement teams, community outreach, and department meetings. Serve as a clinical instructor for students and assist with orientation of new staff. Maintain professional competency through continuing education and comply with governmental regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
- Master's degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
- Doctoral degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
- OT - Occupational Therapist licensure in Maryland District of Columbia (DC) and/or Virginia
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days
- Professional competency as a general practitioner in occupational therapy
