Job Summary
Develop specialized treatment plans to help patients regain well-being through exercise and/or use of prosthetic and orthotic devices. Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisors and instruct families or nursing staff in follow-through programs. Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements while maintaining equipment and work areas in safe, clean conditions. Handle job responsibilities in accordance with company standards, professional guidelines, and applicable state/federal laws. This part-time outpatient role at Phelps Health Waynesville serves pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients in south-central Missouri, utilizing Bioness medical devices for conditions including stroke, MS, TBI, cerebral palsy, and spinal cord injury.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapy license in the state where services are rendered
- Current CPR certification
- Strong organizational and communication skills
