Job Summary
Implement standards of care for occupational therapy services and ensure adherence to Service Agreement conditions. Provide counseling and education to patients, caregivers, and families while evaluating functional status, home environments, and equipment needs. Develop total plans of care, establish treatment goals, and teach new skills or retrain patients in daily activities. Fabricate splints and instruct patients on adaptive, prosthetic, and orthotic devices to improve function. Communicate with physicians and healthcare practitioners regarding the home health plan of care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CA OT License
- Current CPR certification
- 2+ years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist
- Valid driver's license
- Automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order
