Job Summary
Provide outpatient rehabilitation services in-home for the older adult population, evaluating patients, screening, and establishing diagnoses to design and implement individualized treatment plans. Direct patient participation in tasks restoring functional performance while adapting plans based on progress. Supervise OTAs, students, and support personnel; consult with physicians and other disciplines to coordinate comprehensive care. Screen for safety hazards, order equipment, and maintain adaptive devices and orthotics. Ensure timely clinical documentation, billing, and attendance at care conferences. Maintain a safe environment and enforce safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
- initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- a valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice
- a valid driver's license or reliable, independent transportation to and from the patient's residence
