Job Summary
Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide in-home outpatient rehabilitation for older adults, conducting OT evaluations and therapy programs in patients’ homes or in independent living facilities, guiding patient participation, and coordinating with the rehab team to tailor treatment plans. Responsibilities include supervising OT Assistants and students when applicable, ensuring schedule adherence and timely documentation, collaborating with physicians and other disciplines, adapting plans of care to patient needs, maintaining a safe environment, ordering supplies, performing re-examinations, and delivering a comprehensive range of OT services (cognitive skills, motor function, activities of daily living, adaptive devices, and community reintegration). Requires ACOTE-accredited OT degree, NBCOT registration, valid state OT license, and transportation to patient residences. Posted salary range: $77,000 – $108,000 per year.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy (ACOTE-accredited)
- Initial registration by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Valid occupational therapy license in the practicing state
- Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to patient residences
