Job Summary
Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and treatment for children ages birth to three with developmental delays in home and community settings. Administer standardized assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and select appropriate stimulus materials. Deliver clear instructions, provide immediate family feedback, and accurately document daily progress and session data. Participate in transdisciplinary team meetings, IFSP reviews, and discharge planning while adhering to state and federal regulations. Fulfill team lead duties for assigned caseloads and supervise COTA staff as required. Achieve 90% productivity goals and maintain licensure with the NM Board of Occupational Therapy.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
- Licensure from the NM Board of Occupational Therapy
- Knowledge and experience in the field of Occupational Therapy
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Windows
- Proficient organizational and record keeping skills
- Effective oral and written communication
- Excellent interpersonal and teaming skills
- Ability to train clients, family members and professionals
- Exercise a high level of confidentiality
- Have a valid driver's license, auto insurance and reliable transportation available during working hours
- Become IDA certified
- Maintaining appropriate licensure through the NM licensing board
- Attending mandatory staff meetings and trainings
- Consulting and providing in-house trainings to other staff members
- Comply with all mandatory trainings identified by their licensing board
- Comply with all mandatory trainings identified by their supervisor(s) and/or company
- Provide supervision to a COTA, Student or Intern/Observer as assigned
- Achieving 90% performance goal
- Completing FIT evaluation reports within 3 business days
- Documenting therapy sessions and progress at the time of visit and is to be submitted daily
- Completing progress notes with IFSP team at 6-month review TTCM meetings
- Documenting TTCM meetings
- Acknowledging and respecting the rights of persons served at all times
- Ensuring all therapy and related activities are ethical and in compliance with MECA policies and procedures
