Job Summary
Assume responsibility and accountability for patients treated by OT assistants, technicians, and students, orienting staff as needed. Assess patient needs, identify appropriate interventions, and evaluate treatment affect against short and long-term goals. Perform accurate assessments and reassessments per policy, including QI scoring for adult and geriatric medical rehabilitation populations. Reduce pain interfering with function and make appropriate physician contacts for intervention changes. Work cooperatively with interdisciplinary team personnel to maintain professional standards.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state where the hospital is located
- Current CPR/BLS certification
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in all aspects of occupational therapy
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English
- Additional languages
