Job Summary
Provide safe and effective Occupational Therapy services by implementing evaluation, treatment, and education to meet patient needs and functional goals. Communicate professionally with patients, families, caregivers, and team members while promoting collaboration across the rehabilitation team. Deliver therapy and counseling for conditions affecting self-care, mobility, and independence, including hand therapy, splinting, wheelchair assessment, and cognitive rehabilitation. Follow patients from initial evaluation through discharge, utilizing strong business writing skills for clinical documentation. Maintain constructive relationships within the multi-disciplinary team and manage time effectively to prioritize tasks and follow up on pending issues.
Required Qualifications
- Current unencumbered Oregon Occupational Therapist license
- Healthcare Provider BLS
- Criminal Records Check per OAR 333-027-0064
- Skills and knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and cognitive conditions
- Ability to provide counseling and guidance
- Strong business writing skills, including the ability to professionally communicate clinical content in written documentation that is easily understood by the end user
- Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues, exchange information between team members, and tactfully discuss issues
- Ability to perform group presentations and listen to and understand complex information and ideas
- Ability to work, function and communicate on a multi-disciplinary team
- Knowledge and skills to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time
- Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to complete within required time frames and to follow-up on pending issues
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in dynamic fast-paced environments and under pressure
