Job Summary
Conduct initial and ongoing interdisciplinary assessments to determine patient function and response to therapy, including OASIS evaluations. Evaluate functional levels to initiate treatment plans focused on pain relief, disability prevention, and restoring daily living skills through graded activities. Develop self-care modifications such as eating methods and dressing aids, instructing patients and families in their use. Collaborate with physicians and the care team to review and evaluate the plan of care, while providing therapeutic treatments and equipment evaluations as ordered. Maintain current CPR, TB, and health clearances, completing six hours of annual in-service training.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Council on Medical Education and the American Medical Assoc. and the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Licensed pursuant to ARS Title 32, Chapter 34
- Core competency per skills checklist
- At least one year of experience in occupational therapy
- Criminal background, DMV and fingerprint card as appropriate
- Current CPR, TB and health clearance
- Complete 6 hours of in-service training per year
