Job Summary
Occupational Therapist (OT) – Home Health in Orlando, FL: Provide patient-centered home health OT services to help clients regain independence and safely navigate daily activities. Evaluate functional status (mobility, strength, coordination, communication), assess home environments for safety, develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals, deliver therapeutic interventions including retraining in daily living activities, fabricate splints and train use of adaptive/orthotic devices, and support return-to-work through functional evaluations. Educate patients, families, and caregivers; collaborate with interdisciplinary team; participate in discharge planning; document care in EMR; supervise COTAs per state policy and supervise home health aide care when applicable. Requirements include graduation from an accredited OT program, NBCOT certification, active state OT licensure, CPR, and a valid driver’s license. Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and a patient-first mindset are emphasized, along with a compassionate, proactive approach aligned with company values.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current NBCOT certification
- Current state OT licensure
- Valid driver’s license and transportation
- CPR certification
