Job Summary
Conduct initial and ongoing interdisciplinary assessments to determine patient function levels and response to therapy, including OASIS evaluations. Evaluate functional abilities to initiate treatment plans for pain relief and restoring daily living skills through graded activities. Develop self-care modifications such as adaptive eating and dressing methods, instructing patients and families on their use. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to review and evaluate care plans, while providing therapeutic treatments and equipment assessments per physician orders. Communicate regularly with all involved health care practitioners regarding current care strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Council on Medical Education and the American Medical Assoc. and the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Licensed pursuant to ARS Title 32, Chapter 34
- At least one year of experience in occupational therapy
- Criminal background, DMV and fingerprint card as appropriate
- Current CPR, TB and health clearance
- Complete 6 hours of in-service training per year
