Job Summary
Conduct initial and ongoing interdisciplinary assessments to determine patient function levels and response to therapy, including OASIS evaluations. Evaluate functional capacity and initiate treatment plans for pain relief, disability prevention, and restoring body skills through graded functional activities. Implement self-care modifications such as devising eating methods and dressing aids, then instruct patients and families on their use. Develop and review care plans in consultation with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and caregivers. Provide therapeutic treatments and evaluate equipment needs ordered by physicians. Communicate regularly with all physicians and health care practitioners regarding the current plan of care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Council on Medical Education and the American Medical Assoc. and the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Licensed pursuant to ARS Title 32, Chapter 34
- At least one year of experience in occupational therapy
- Criminal background, DMV and fingerprint card as appropriate
- Current CPR, TB and health clearance
- Complete 6 hours of in-service training per year
