Job Summary
Conduct initial and ongoing interdisciplinary assessments to determine patient function levels and response to therapy, including OASIS evaluations. Evaluate functional capacity and initiate treatment plans to relieve pain, prevent disability, and restore body skills through graded activities. Implement self-care modifications such as devising eating methods and dressing aids while instructing patients and families. Develop, review, and evaluate care plans in consultation with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and caregivers. Provide therapeutic treatments and evaluate equipment needs as ordered by physicians. Maintain current CPR, TB, and health clearances while completing annual in-service training.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Council on Medical Education and the American Medical Assoc. and the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Licensed pursuant to ARS Title 32, Chapter 34
- Core competency per skills checklist
- At least one year of experience in occupational therapy
- Criminal background, DMV and fingerprint card as appropriate
- Current CPR, TB and health clearance
- Complete 6 hours of in-service training per year
