Job Summary
Evaluate patient conditions and establish individualized occupational therapy plans of care to restore function and prevent disability. Implement evidence-based treatment techniques including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, functional mobility training, and activities of daily living instruction. Facilitate participation in everyday living and provide patient education to help individuals regain or maintain independence. Conduct reassessments when indicated and modify plans accordingly while communicating progress to supervisors, physicians, and team members. Submit all documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and departmental billing guidelines. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and Pennsylvania licensure; travel to patient care assignments is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Occupational Therapy
- Successfully completed clinical experiences as required by the school program
- Demonstrates sound clinical reasoning in synthesizing data gathered in the evaluation and identifying treatment diagnoses
- Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques
- Ability to communicate with patients, family, and co-workers in a friendly, supportive manner
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate, and competent occupational therapy treatments
- Ability to travel to patient care assignments - Home Care only
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- Licensed Occupational Therapist - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree Occupational Therapy or Doctorate Occupational Therapy
- 1 year Clinical experience for Home Care
