Job Summary
Provides skilled occupational therapy in accordance with the physician's plan of care, assisting in evaluation and plan-of-care development, and designing orthotics as indicated. Treats clients through therapeutic activities to restore function and self-care, teaches and promotes independence, observes and reports changes, instructs family and staff in exercise programs to increase strength and control, cooperates with staff for education, demonstrates ADL techniques, orders/fabricates adaptive devices, reevaluates care plans, initiates diagnostic and preventive procedures, and coordinates referrals as needed to meet aging, pediatric, and adult patient needs.
Required Qualifications
- Registered by the American Occupational Therapy Association or successfully completed the educational requirements of occupational therapy and licensed in the State.
- Minimum of one year of occupational therapy experience.
