Job Summary
Conduct patient assessments evaluating physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using standardized tools. Develop personalized treatment plans to enhance functional abilities and educate clients and families on adaptive equipment and environmental modifications. Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans while advocating for residents' needs and community resource access. Deliver therapy focused on cognition, ADLs, upper extremity function, balance, and fall prevention across Memory Care and Assisted Living settings in Parkersburg, WV, and Marietta, OH. This split position offers flexible scheduling with opportunities to grow from part-time to full-time hours.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or license eligible
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy
