Job Summary
Provide occupational therapy to patients unable to perform daily tasks due to illness or injury, focusing on regaining independence and developing practical skills in the home. Assess patients, observe deficits, establish therapy goals, and document progress while assisting with exercises to improve fine motor skills and coordination. Suggest adaptive equipment like grab bars and evaluate fall risks to enhance home safety. Educate patients and families on the plan of care, exercises, and self-care strategies. Work as part of a multidisciplinary home health team including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and PTs to support the patient's plan of care and personal goals.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of Arizona
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist program
- CPR Certification (demonstration course required)
- Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
