Job Summary
Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders, developing appropriate plans of care using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice. Provide skilled rehabilitative treatment interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic exercises, and modalities while assessing progress and adjusting treatments to maximize functional recovery. Administer various procedures, supervise support staff, and communicate with the health team regarding patient barriers and treatment plans. Document all clinical activities, treatment minutes, and comprehensive discharge summaries in the electronic system. Participate in required meetings, trainings, and conferences while adhering to NBCOT, AOTA, and state practice acts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy or related field
- Active Kansas state license
- 1+ years of experience in a skilled nursing facility environment
