Job Summary
Assess patient care needs regarding functionality status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, home assessments, and adaptive equipment. Determine treatment plans, perform interventions to improve patient wellbeing, and evaluate progress. Provide services in accordance with state laws, coordinate with the health care team, and lead patients in therapeutic, creative, and self-care activities. Observe and report patient responses to treatment and condition changes. Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and the team on therapy participation. Requires state licensure, accredited program completion, and ability to work with all ages. Independent Contractor role in Canyon Country with flexible scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- Occupational Therapist license and registration by the state
- Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapist program
- Ability and enthusiasm in working with all ages
- Must be available to serve the Canyon Country area specifically
- Must be able to provide services defined by the state laws governing the practice of Occupational Therapy
- Must be able to lead the patient in the use of therapeutic, creative, and self-care activities
- Must be able to observe, record, and report the patient's response to treatment and changes to the patient's condition
- Must be able to instruct patients, families, caregivers, and the health care team in the areas of therapy
