Job Summary
Assess and evaluate patient care needs regarding functionality status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, home assessments, and adaptive equipment. Determine treatment plans, perform interventions to improve patient wellbeing, and evaluate progress. Provide services in accordance with state laws and the plan of care while coordinating with the health care team. Lead patients in therapeutic, creative, and self-care activities to enhance functioning and safety. Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and condition changes. Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and the health care team on therapy participation. Work as an independent contractor in the Hawthorne area with flexibility to set your own schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Occupational Therapist license and registration by the state
- Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapist program
- Ability and enthusiasm in working with all ages
- Independent Contractor status
- Service area in the Hawthorne area
