Job Summary
Assess residents' occupational therapy needs and match services with available therapy options. Conduct regular meetings with residents according to the treatment program schedule, evaluate and maintain records of residents' progress. Report progress to management and families and meet with them regularly. Perform repeated evaluations to measure progress per professional guidelines. Stay current with professional literature and attend seminars to maintain and update skills. Requires clear hearing and strong verbal/written communication with residents and family members to ensure understanding of progress.
Required Qualifications
- Hearing ability sufficient to evaluate residents' occupational therapy needs
- Skill communicating verbally and in writing with residents and family members so that all parties understand the program and the degree of progress being made
