Job Summary
Assess patient needs, develop recovery plans, and deliver occupational therapy to help older adults restore physical abilities and independence. Design individualized programs that reinforce and enhance patient capabilities while training caregivers on skills for long-term productivity. Collaborate with peers to make referrals when necessary, adapting to diverse patient needs across skilled nursing, assisted living, outpatient, and home-based settings. Report to the Director of Rehab in facility locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
- initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- a valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice
