Job Summary
Administer occupational therapy to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence in accordance with physician orders and plan of care. Improve or minimize residual physical disabilities and return individuals to optimum living within their capability. Provide prescribed occupational therapy and all skilled procedures while conducting initial assessments, developing maintenance programs, and performing reassessments every 30 days. Periodically participate in care planning with other home care personnel and consult with physicians regarding treatment changes. Requires AOTA accreditation or certification, current state licensure, and minimum one year in acute care with two years in home health preferred. Flexible schedule with competitive pay.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
- Certified by successfully completing the National Certification examination
- Eligible for the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Currently licensed by the Board of Occupational and Physical Therapy Examiners in the state in which practicing
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) years experience in Home Health preferred
- Minimum of one year in an acute care setting
