Job Summary
Occupational Therapist OT with part-time/per diem schedule sought to provide skilled OT services across Ayden Healthcare facilities in Waterville and Wauseon. Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, delivering therapeutic interventions to improve physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, educating patients and families on therapeutic techniques for activities of daily living, documenting progress, and supporting rehabilitation and discharge planning. The role involves working in skilled nursing facilities with opportunities to engage in rehabilitation for diverse disabilities and support for children with special needs in school contexts. Experience in skilled nursing facilities or acute care settings, knowledge of care planning and discharge processes, and strong communication skills are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in occupational therapy within skilled nursing facilities or acute care settings preferred
- Familiarity with developing care plans and discharge planning processes
- Knowledge of physiology and its application in therapeutic practices
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
