Job Summary
Conduct occupational therapy services for acute care patients, including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, and discharge planning. Perform specific assessments, explain findings to patients and families, and incorporate them into goal setting. Implement treatment protocols based on evolving health conditions, consult with healthcare professionals, and document changes requiring plan modifications. Accurately charge for patient care activities, maintain legible daily encounter notes, and manage an accurate schedule while meeting productivity expectations. Pursue continuing education, serve as a clinical instructor for students, and mentor new staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy", "Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure as necessary for your specific location(s)", "American Heart Association's BLS (Basic Life Support)
