Job Summary
Conduct occupational therapy services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, discharge planning, and documentation. Perform specific assessments, explain findings to patients and families, and incorporate them into goal setting. Demonstrate proficiency in implementing treatment protocols, consult with healthcare professionals, and document changes in patient conditions requiring plan modifications. Manage accurate schedules, meet productivity expectations, and provide frictionless patient access through flexibility and empathy. Complete appropriate discharge planning and follow-up care while accurately documenting and charging for patient activities. Take initiative in pursuing continuing education and serve as a clinical instructor for students. Assist with orientation and mentoring of new staff, students, volunteers, and technicians.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure as necessary for your specific location(s)
- American Heart Association's BLS (Basic Life Support)
