Job Summary
Conduct occupational therapy services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, discharge planning, and documentation. Explain findings and treatment plans to patients and families while incorporating them into goal setting. Demonstrate proficiency in implementing treatment protocols based on evaluation findings and consult with healthcare professionals as needed. Manage accurate schedules, meet productivity expectations, and provide timely documentation of patient care activities and progress. Recognize changes in patient conditions requiring plan modifications or medical consultations. Take initiative in pursuing continuing education and serve as a clinical instructor for students. Assist with orientation and mentoring of new staff, students, volunteers, and technicians.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure as necessary for your specific location(s)
- American Heart Association's BLS (Basic Life Support)
