Job Summary
Conduct occupational therapy services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, discharge planning, and documentation. Explain evaluation findings and treatment plans to patients and families while incorporating them into goal setting. Demonstrate proficiency in implementing treatment protocols based on evolving health conditions and consult with healthcare professionals as needed. Manage an accurate schedule, meet productivity expectations, and take initiative in directing continuing education and mentoring new staff. This role supports the team at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center, part of one of the largest healthcare systems in the Baltimore-Washington metro region. Weekend rotation applies to the Monday-to-Friday schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure as necessary for your specific location(s)
- American Heart Association's BLS (Basic Life Support)
