Job Summary
Review physician referrals and medical records to determine required occupational therapy treatment. Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on patient data, then conduct evaluations including functional activities, range of motion, and neuromuscular control. Confer with physicians and the rehabilitation team to coordinate therapy with other care aspects and suggest program revisions. Record treatment responses, progress, and maintain documentation for third-party reimbursement. Assist in staff recruitment, training, and department budget planning while adhering to infection control policies.
Required Qualifications
- Credentialed graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Licensed in the state where practicing
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 20 pounds
- Travel within a local area as needed for patient treatment
