Occupational Therapist

Develop, recover, or maintain the daily living and work skills of clients with physical, mental, or developmental conditions through client-centered interventions. Select and adapt appropriate treatment models to address performance aspects supporting engagement in occupations affecting health and well-being. Apply interventions to maximize safety in activities of daily living and instrumental activities, while teaching clients new task approaches and breaking activities into achievable components. Assess client home and other environments for necessary alterations, recommend adaptive equipment, and train caregivers in its use. Observe, note, and report on progress toward long and short-term treatment goals, collecting data and documenting processes followed.
