Job Summary
Occupational Therapist responsible for the evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with conditions affecting the hands and upper quadrant; plans and evaluates patient treatment programs in coordination with medical staff; administers treatment per physician instruction; documents care, maintains records and discharge summaries; educates patients and families, fabricates splints per physician instruction; collaborates with physicians and staff to discuss conditions and treatment plans; maintains confidentiality per HIPAA; participates in safety, infection control, quality assurance, and clinic education programs; flexible scheduling with potential evenings/weekends; location in Albuquerque, NM; NM license required with hand therapy certification eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate degree in occupational therapy or physical therapy from accredited college or university
- New Mexico License to practice physical therapy
- Certified and/or certification eligible in hand therapy
- At least one year of experience as a hand therapist or supervised clinical internship
