Job Summary
Assess patients' functional abilities and limitations to determine appropriate treatment plans, then develop and implement customized occupational therapy interventions to improve physical and cognitive skills. Provide education and guidance to patients and families on adaptive techniques and equipment while collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and contribute to evidence-based protocols and best practices. Stay updated on advancements in occupational therapy techniques and research.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and neurology
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in neurorehabilitation or related field preferred
- Experience with specialized assessments and treatment modalities
- Knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive equipment
- Ability to adapt treatment approaches based on individual patient needs
- Experience working with patients of all ages
