Job Summary

Provide direct services to students aligned with IEPs and support plans, focusing on fine motor, sensory, self-care, and adaptive skill development. Conduct evaluations, screenings, and progress monitoring while delivering services in classrooms, small groups, or one-on-one settings. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to contribute to IEP meetings and ensure student success. Maintain accurate service documentation and manage caseload responsibilities including scheduling and tracking. Work within a school-based environment supporting functional and educational access for students.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current Wisconsin DSPS Occupational Therapist license in good standing
  • Current Wisconsin DPI School Occupational Therapy license (O051)
  • Individual NPI number
  • Maintenance of all licenses and certifications in good standing throughout employment
  • Ability to meet all district and state onboarding requirements, including background checks
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly with scheduling and documentation
  • Ability to manage a caseload and adapt to changing priorities in a school environment
  • Comfort with basic technology for documentation, communication, and service tracking
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to respond to student needs in real time
  • Ability to comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, including FERPA and HIPAA
  • Reliable transportation, if travel between school sites is required
  • Ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting
  • Familiarity with IEPs, evaluations, service documentation, and progress monitoring
  • Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams
