Job Summary
Provide therapeutic services in a school-based setting to help students develop fine motor, visual motor, sensory motor, and visual perceptual skills; implement, plan, and monitor individualized therapeutic programs aligned with IEP goals; supervise COTA's and fieldwork students; conduct assessments and prepare documentation; collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals; participate in meetings and develop adaptive equipment or environmental modifications as needed to support student functioning; requires AZ certification, fingerprint clearance, evidence of highly qualified status, and appropriate graduate-level degrees; full-time position with responsibilities across evaluations, treatment planning, and program implementation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in pre-occupational therapy, psychology, biology, or related field
- Master’s degree accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)
- Current license from the Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners; grandfather clause for licensure is honored
- Completion of six to nine months of supervised clinical affiliations
- Arizona certification (IVP fingerprint clearance card)
- Evidence of highly qualified status
- Three letters of recommendation
- Transcript of credits
