Job Summary
Complete specialist OT assessments for major adaptations, including stairlifts, level access showers, ramps, and home modifications. Undertake home visits to evaluate functional needs and environmental barriers, then produce detailed adaptation specifications and professional reports. Recommend appropriate solutions to support independence and wellbeing while collaborating with housing teams, surveyors, and wider professionals. Provide clear clinical reasoning within a person-centred approach to help residents remain safe and independent in their own homes.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration
- Significant experience within major adaptations
- Strong understanding of adaptation pathways and processes
- Experience completing home assessments and writing detailed specifications
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with wider teams
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
