Job Summary
Assess patients and develop/initiate OT treatment plans based on evaluations; provide direct patient care per established protocols; document findings, progress, and instructions for patients and caregivers; supervise assistants and rehabilitation technicians; complete written plans of care with goals and a comprehensive program; maintain timely documentation (daily notes, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, incident reports); communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance providers; leverage NBCOT-certified expertise and Virginia licensure to deliver outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation within an autonomous clinic setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- NBCOT certification
- Current Virginia state license or ability to obtain Virginia license
- CPR certification
- Ability to create and implement outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation treatment plans
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and MS Office
- Effective communication with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurance companies
- Autonomous work environment
