Job Summary
Create tailored intervention plans to help patients develop, regain, or maintain skills for daily living and meaningful activities. Facilitate patient participation through creative problem-solving and teach new task performance methods. Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers regarding their condition, treatment strategies, safety precautions, and adaptive equipment use. Deliver top-of-scope direct patient care procedures while modeling proficiency through precepting new team members. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care within a multidisciplinary approach. This onsite role at UCHealth Memorial Hosp Central in Colorado Springs requires a full-time 80-hour schedule with days shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current licensure with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies to practice Occupational Therapy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
