Job Summary
Establish and implement individualized occupational therapy plans of care to restore function, prevent disability, and help patients reach maximum performance levels. Deliver treatment using evidence-based techniques including therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, functional mobility training, activities of daily living training, splinting, and modalities. Conduct patient assessments based on physician diagnoses, perform reassessments when indicated, and modify plans accordingly to facilitate participation in everyday living. Communicate patient progress and physical limitations to supervisors, physicians, and team members while completing all documentation per regulatory requirements. Provide supervision in accordance with regulatory standards and deliver cost-effective care aligned with departmental billing guidelines. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, a Pennsylvania license, and Basic Life Support certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Occupational Therapy
- Successfully completed clinical experiences as required by the school program
- Demonstrates sound clinical reasoning in synthesizing data gathered in the evaluation and identifying treatment diagnoses
- Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques
- Ability to communicate with patients, family, and co-workers in a friendly, supportive manner
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate, and competent occupational therapy treatments
- Ability to travel to patient care assignments - Home Care only
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- Licensed Occupational Therapist - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
