Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive developmental and learning assessments for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for children and young people. Develop and implement individualized intervention plans, collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate goals into daily environments. Equip key adults with skills to support therapy objectives and evaluate intervention effectiveness. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to ensure coordinated care for students with complex needs. Maintain accurate documentation and provide training to key stakeholders. Primarily work in school settings with occasional clinic and remote opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- HCPC and RCOT registration
- Recognised Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy
- Fully enhanced DBS
Desired Qualifications
- Paediatric occupational therapy experience
- Experience working within a specialist paediatric setting
- Experience working within school settings
- Experience completing assessments for Education, Health, and Care Plans
- Specialist CPD and/or training
- Trauma-Informed care experience
- Experience working with paediatric social, emotional, and mental health needs
