Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's developmental or learning needs for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and develop individualised intervention plans. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals into the young person's daily environment and equip key adults with skills to support them. Evaluate intervention effectiveness, provide training and upskilling to staff, and maintain accurate documentation while actively participating in multidisciplinary meetings. Primarily work in school settings with potential for clinic and remote-based roles.
Required Qualifications
- HCPC and RCOT registration
- Recognised Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy
- Fully enhanced DBS
Desired Qualifications
- Paediatric occupational therapy experience
- Experience working within a specialist paediatric setting
- Experience working within school settings
- Experience completing assessments for Education, Health, and Care Plans
- Specialist CPD and/or training
- Trauma-Informed care experience
- Experience working with paediatric social, emotional, and mental health needs
